About
The Integrative and Precision Neuroimaging Lab aims to better understand child and adolescent neurodevelopment, particularly in the context of emerging psychopathology. The group focuses on three key areas. First, understanding how features of mental illness can impact how the brain develops; more clearly put, how living with mental illness can impact the brain. Second, applying machine learning techniques, sometimes referred to as artificial intelligence, to neuroimaging data in order to identify complex patterns which would otherwise not be evident using traditional statistical techniques. Lastly, the group focuses on development and applications of population neuroscience methods. An emerging field which melds several disciplines together, population neuroscience focuses on large, generalizable cohorts to study the brain, and we strive to integrate several epidemiological concepts into neuroimaging as standard practice.
